Hello from DACCAA Studios

Why we have given the apps their own home, separate from the marketing pages, and what you will find here.

DACCAA Ltd has been building websites for other people for years. Somewhere in among that, we started building apps for ourselves — the sort of thing you make because the app you wanted did not exist and you got tired of waiting.

This site is where those apps live.

Why a separate site#

Each app already has its own marketing page, and those pages have one job: explaining what the thing is to somebody who has never heard of it. They are not the right place for fourteen pages on how the timers work.

So this is the other half. Documentation, guides, videos, the blog, and a contact form that reaches an actual person. If you already have one of our apps on your phone, this is the site you want.

What is here#

Documentation, per app. Every feature has a page. Not a wiki that goes stale, not a list of FAQs that avoids the hard questions — proper written guides, updated when the app changes.

A route to us. The contact form reaches a person, usually the one who wrote the code you are asking about. Our apps can also post feedback here directly, so a bug report arrives with the app version, device and iOS release already attached. Nobody has to describe their phone to us.

Notes from the studio. Occasional posts about what we are building and why it works the way it does.

First up: Crumbfolio#

Crumbfolio is a recipe app for iPhone. It saves recipes from anywhere, cooks them with you one step at a time, and remembers how each attempt went. It has a lot of AI in it, all of which runs on your device or on Apple Private Cloud Compute — there is no AI company in the middle of your dinner.

The documentation is live now, ahead of the app itself. Reading it is a reasonable way to work out whether Crumbfolio is for you.

What comes next#

More apps, documented the same way. If you want to know when, the blog and its RSS feed are the place.
